I love it. The feeling I get from this photo is one of being caught up in the vortex of a wirlwind. The centre of the turntable looks like some sort of black whole. The tilted angles put the whole thing in motion and the only complaint I have about this image is that (Railway) seems too sedate a title for this action packed dreamscape.
p.s. The horizon seems to me split in two, one side riding higher than the other, the silo deviding the two halves. Reminds me of Da Vinci's Mona Lisa. Well done Soren. Welcome to Usefilm.com

I like this image. I like images with mood like this one. About the tilt, I would suggest you to use the 'grid' feature in your photo software (most of them have a grid feature). Than, from that, you will be able to see if there's a tilt or not.

My husband just loves this picture of an abanndoned railroad roundhouse with turntable. He does not see any tilt to the horizon, in fact the horizon is not discernable. This illusion is from curvature of the roundhouse and the tracks leading to the turntable. The yard control tower is plumb along with the roundhouse doors. All in all a great rail yard of yore photogragh.

Just found this, had to go back 3 times to get it. This is awesome, tilts and all. Works very well as a figment of the imagination or dream image. I love it!

I'm with Artie. As much as I love the tones here, the too-slight-to-be-purposeful-to-extreme-to-be-ignored slant of the camera irks me. I think this subject and toning scheme work very well together and would be worth further exploration. As is, the composition seems too busy in the linear sense to really go for the "sparse" look and so I feel you should to create a sense of line that is either more harmonious in flow and how it fills the space, or work with a different angle altogther and work with either conflicting angles or linear moving vs. "dead" space. A really moody, cool picture as is, and one I think you could do more with. By the way, is this split toned? Digital or darkroom?

your after effects would have more impact on this image if the total image started out stronger...frame wise you have a good balance here however the severe tilt of the horizon and the leaning buildings are too much of a distraction...
