About This is the entire image of the crop above. The reason I cropped this one down is that my school's lab wasn't capable of hanging 4x5s to dry properly. We had to punch a hole in the corner so it wouldn't fall (and it did anyway) on the bottom of the neg dryer.

I wish there was more definition in the pants. What's that white line on the bottom of the frame?

The reason it's so darn dark is that the neg was underexposed and underdeveloped - the film was expired and not cold-stored, but I had no other 4x5 film at the time. This was an experiment, really.. a camera test. I'll have more 4x5 stuff up here soon, but I don't have my little developing tube made yet.. so I have about 10 shots sitting in their film holders still..

Jeremy computer monitors are not the best medium in the world to evaluate tonalities in an image...mine is calibrated well but always a dissapointment on the bottom end....the pose is unusual here and the hand and face are lit well but lacking in the rest....the scrunging of the boot is a bit unatural but acceptable....
