I was up in the Coast Range mountains (Northwest Oregon) today and I noticed that since it has been so cold lately that there was some icylces hanging from the side of the rocks, so I took some pictures. The picture was alright when I looked at it on my computer, but I used PS to lighten it a little and size it, but that's it. (Just in case you haven't heard, it's never this cold here this time of year, it's crazy!)
Becky V, thanks for comment, just FYI, I was pretty close when I took that picture, just a few feet away, the icycles were about 2 or 3 inches in diameter on the top, but only about a 5 foot wide area of rocks had icycles, thanks for the ideas, I will try different things in the future, they are all great ideas.
Oooo . . . I remember chewing on icicles as if they were popcicles when I was young. I'd probably still do it if I weren't living in such an icicle-free area!
This is a nice capture of early season ice, but I feel as if you are too near or too far from your subject. It would be nice to see either a close up of the ice surface (perhaps at a point, where the water is dripping off), or a wider shot with a little more context so those looking at this photo can determine where the icicles are hanging from, or what kind of environment they are situated in, or how big the icicles are. :-)
