About Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, Washington, DC. I selected a shallow depth of field to blur the petals - and was very pleased at the blurry pastel halo that resulted.

Bob, I like this one. Never seen this perspective on a Lotus before. I believe what makes this shot is the superb clarity of the flower's center. Very different but immensely appealing.

Wow! This turned out great!! I love the DOF and the effect it created and I love the clarity of the center of this Lotus. It is just perfect. I also really like that you used a square frame around this. Super, super job! Thanks for answering my lens questions!

Looks lovely!! And also really interesting with that blur that is almost like a bit transparent! Focus on middle part is excellent and it looks like some kind of out-of-space something! Very good, original shot!

Wow! An interesting way to get a clear look at the interesting center of the lotus. I'd be tempted to select that amazing center of the blossom and do something funky with a pattern of those in PS.... ummm..... don't mind me, I'm letting my imagine run rampant! I'm just really enthralled with the middle of that thing!!
