I like many pics in your portfolio, and the two with stairs (or better: one is with a ladder) are my favourites. Here I love the contrast between light and shadow, the curvew and the simplicity of the composition.

i used to live in this old house with two sets of narrow winding stairs just like this..
great job and capture..i believe the house was built in 1898..

I like this a lot! There's a lot of character on these stairs. I'm wondering if the darker strip on the left side is the way it was or if it was darkened after the fact. If it was darkened later, I'd rather see the darkening removed.

I really like the dynamic and geometric composition of this picture and the roughed look of the steps. The Black and White has been a good choice to enhance the forms, but i think that the very dark stripe on the left is a bit disturbing... Regards! Lorenzo

mmmmmm.... everything about this is wonderful... the lighting.. the darkness that moves in from the left... the curves... the texture of the wall... the scuffmarks on the steps.. all so haunting... in my favorites...
