Replying much too late too, Zeyneb. But better late than never.
It was only nice that your aunt didn't pose ata all. best portraits are the straight ones with no pose, no artificial smile, no overdramatizing, or anything similar. Like for example here. Simple and straight.
BTW, another hint for avoiding potential problems when uploading: Make sure to check "None" in the options for sharpening of the upload dialog of UF. Ans also save the copy to be uploaded at some usual resolution - 80-100ppi is enough. Anything higher might be worse at the end. So, an image at a maximum of 850 pixels dimension (height or width) and at about a resolution of 80-100 ppi will usually work very well. At even higher resolutions the image has to be extremelely well taken in order to avoid such potential problems when uploading.
Cheers!
Nick

Dear Nick,
thanks for your precious careful comments as always. And sorry for replying so late, I could only recently return home and got my internet working from my own laptop. You are right, it would look much better with some more of that background. I couldnt do that because there were other people and other walls around there, which I thought I wouldnt be able to include in a nice way.
The women is my aunt and she was not posed at all. This photo is from the graduation of my two cousins and it was a happy and tiring day for the family... but not only tiring, there are many other things here, which I think have reflected on her face, and I dont wish to write these down here :)
And on the patterns you are right again. after your previous comments I have learned to upload pictures as big as I can, just a few kb smaller than 400 kb. I dont know why it still looks so patented in UF, because the original in my computer is not like that.
Thanks again, cheers :) zeynep

very well managed tonal balance for depicting the light and gue transitions that build up the scene and especially the sitting woman in all its plasticity. I don't know if the inclusion of that small stripe of background on the left is good this way. Perhaps more would be better.
The details are good but again I see the typical "patterns" of which I already talked on the other message to you. (Look for example at the forehead of the woman.)
The timing and the subject were OK too. BTW, did you instructed her to sit this way? It looks perfectly natural and not "posing" at all.
Cheers!
Nick
