you are bang on Suvro...that's the mootpoint - as here in this portrait I found that overpowering completeness and the untimely(!) completion of her eyes brought feeling!Thanks for noticing...

Awesome still life work in monochrome. Nice tonality with good control of exposure.

Is it not somewhat unusual that the artist has drawn the eyes (which is usually done as the last item) before completing the work!
