I can't believe....how old is your camera? Truly this is ridiculous I heard others complain for them! I have been a Canon for over 5 years and never have this kind of delays or back and forth games actually back 2005 the fix my 20D for free $ 750.00 because they thought the little piece of metal shouldn't pay for the damage it cause. that was the most weird think I told them are you for real:):) also on October last year 2008 they replace shutter and light box assembly + 6 months warranty for 198.00 I have the invoice. And this is for my 5D...any thing better than that I think Canon it’s an incredible company!!!!Its for real I feel my thousands of investment its worth more than ever thought!!!!!!

Hi Harry, I have sent my cameras to Nikon several time and even delivered them by hand for repairs once...the worst experience with service I have ever had. It takes so long that you might as well just get a new one (which I am Sure they are hoping for) Orrrr they say it will cost more then a new one to repair and then offer to sell you one for more then I can get in a store. If in fact they do embark on repair and it takes a huge amount of time, there is no way to talk to a person...you can email till you are blue in the face and NEVER get a answer or phone, but you will NEVER get a human and let with a option to leave a message and NEVER get a answer! There warranty is bogus for all those reasons. I imagine this is a common experience with so many for these large companys. They are totally uninterested in maintaining any kind of real service experience hoping you will just get a new one and leave them alone. One way around it sometimes used to be to order your own parts which I had done in the past but now they don't allow it....to bad. I have fixed cameras that they said were throw aways for sometimes less then $15. It is the way of the world these days. I am either getting old and cynical or this is a common experience.

Hey Tim,
I'd like to hear what your colour issues are with the D300 as I was considering that for my next body.
Please feel free to reply to my e-mail if you'd rather there than here, edghoti@hotmail.com
Thanks, Ed

Hi Harry,
No I have not painted this one and it is on the list of "to do's" I have 3 Nikon bodies 2 D80s and a D300. Some lens are on one body and the other bodies. That way I don't have to swap lens. Consequently I have images from both bodies from the same areas from the same time line. I have to say too that I have color issues with the D300 and how it renders color, so I am happy to shot lots with the D80 still.

It must be a beautiful place; I like the terrain very much, did you painted this one, Tim? Also notice more Nikons 300's postings! Cheers, Harry
