Now there's a nice shot that will test your skills at the artist's easel, though I think a big slice cropped of the bottom wouldn't go amiss.

I really like the tones of these shots, I think Marc Adamus posted something simular,... I'd love to get a shot of these rocky pools.
Staring into the sun, you might have to take multiple shots, bracketing like crazy or breakdown and get some graduated filters.
