Fantastic conditions and a lovely location. It's always worth having your camera in the mountains.

Lo John, Long time no see. This is a spectacular image. Looks like it was taken from Heven. Bet its pouring down below this. I've join the Comeragh Mountaining club and if I get a shot like this I'll die Happy. Well Done! 10/7 Larry

Hi John,

Holy jaysus I'd say your ears were popping! Must have taken you a while to get there. Its the background I like best - you are literally above the clouds. Good work

A beautiful image. I love the way the viewpoint is above the level of the clouds in the distance, and the way the ridge runs diagonally across the image.

Thanks Hugo. I must say I like the portrait crop: it gives a different feel to the image. Thanks again for going to the trouble. Regards, John.

Hi John, Very cool shot, and very well captured too. I like the diagonal placement of the ridge, seemingly making way for the clouds to be pushed up. Spectacular sight.

I can't help to think that maybe a portrait format image could've emphasised the line in the ridge a bit more. Eventhough the clouds and the gradent in the hill in front are quite spectacular, the amount of barren landscape of the right doesn't offer much to the feel. I do think showing just a bit would suffice.

In the attached image, I tried to show you what I mean. Not necessarily a better option, but I think it's a valid alternative. I think it does place more attention to the ridge. Wonder what you think.

Nevertheless a spectacular and well captured photo...

Cheers,

Hugo
