Interesting exhibit and capture, David. I agree about the sharpness and noise needing work. I am wondering where the problem is coming from. Does the resolution change when you do your cropping? Eb

hi Dave
very nice work making these great snow scuptures into panoramic the order/placement of these three pictures in I think perfect, only to improve is the noise reduction and maybe if the colors of the sky of all these tree pictures are the same. or if you want different, it's in gradation order (from light to dark). maybe :)

Hi Dave, I think you are probably right about the feet having some kind of Aboriginal significance. Maybe even a depiction of a half man half animal god of some sort. Andre

Hi Dave, I wanted to say a little more about the Panarama format of this one because you asked for some opinions on the format in particular. I'm not a huge fan of the Panarama in general, although I think this is the kind of thing where it serves a purpose. Basically three shots for the price of one, but you don't want to post three separate images. I did something like this on a tennis serve by Roger Federer a while back. I think I think the quality suffers on the first viewing until you give the panarama images the second click. The problem with this is we are often asking people to scroll from left to right when the larger good quality image comes on the screen. If it is a landscape or another such image that has to be viewed all at once, the effect is ruined. Maybe this kind of thing works much better for people with the latest wide-screen monitors ? I'm using a 19" square format monitor and I don't like to scroll through a single image.
On the other hand, some people have done a really nice job of stiching two or three images together to end up with panaramas. I just don't see the point of scrolling through them. Just my two cents worth.
BTW since you asked... some might not agree with me, but wouldn't a less flashy colour for a border have been a little better in this case? Andre

Dave, what program did you use to put them together? I use an old version of elements. Is it layered? Good job collaging them. Beautiful detail and light on them all. Marilyn

Hi Dave, sorry my friend but I'm pretty hopeless at collages and the like. Wonderful snow sculpture and I think you have done well in it's presentation. Beautiful colour to the sky, it really sets your three shots alight. My very best wishes to you as always....ray

Hi Andre, thanks for the comments! All I can say is that most of the sculptures were of Aboriginal themes, and it could be connected with a legend of some sort. Dave.

Hi Dave, I've got one smart-ass comment for now on this one and I will come back later on tonight with another more serious comment. Got to go to work and I'm running a little late.
Why does that guy on the left have three toes on his feet? :) Andre

My thanks to Nacho, who left a comment on this before, when I had to delete it from the site to try and get it a little better technically. It's still not quite as sharp as I'd like, and there is more noise than the originals. I'm continuing to work on my montage skills. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Dave.
