David, yep, I did have to do a bit of selective blurring. The wisp of hair is giving it away the most, lol, driving me nuts! The original did have some blur but using the coolpix with a fixed lens has its limits, I'm hoping to get a digital SLR byt the end of this year :)

100% my favorite style and look of a shot. I love it. Beautiful portrait with a nice touch by using the high angle. Perfect B&W tones.
I know you had to selectively blure the background but you did a great job. It looks just like a nice depth of field blur.

Very unusual pose! I like it however! The child has beautiful eyes. Light and skin tones are very good. Limited DOF makes for an interesting image.
