Hrishi that pano is great. I love seeing panoramics that break the standard mold. I use a panoramic tripod head to get more exact alignment of my images. Only in this way is Photoshops PhotoMerge function really useful. I've tried other software and had better luck. I'm finding Photoshop is great for precise simple panoramics. For more exact work I'm finding PTmac and the equivalent PT Assembler work very well. There are a lot of new pieces of software coming out now. For simple things Canon stitch works well, but it isn't something I use for images I plan to print. Thanks for looking at my work. I greatly appreciate your feedback. I hope my response helps you with your future panoramic endeavors.

Very nice. You have a bunch of cool panos. Do you use Canon stich to put multiple shots togeather? I have tried that but with not so good results. Only one of my "stitches" worked. The rest came out pretty bad - any tips on stitching greatly appreciated.

Kambiz your comments are a very thought provoking. In some form or fashion I've always seen photography as a common language between people around the world. That is one of the many things I value about UF is the ability to see that in action. Perhaps one day we and others here from around the world will be able to meet and share some photography experiences in person. Perhaps in the future you'll be able to make it to the US to experience some of these amazing landscapes first hand. Roger thanks for taking the time to look and comment on my work. My commercial web site is lagging behind in regard to the panoramic images. The reason being I'm still formulating how to best present them, print them and most importantly generate the images. My aged computer can't handle the demands put upon it for 90% of the images I'd like to put together. I have roughly 1 1/2 years worth of panoramics that are waiting to be put together. Even though my computer is not set up for it I've been thinking ahead with my photography and taking panoramic photos at every location I visit. I have several of San Francisco as it's easy to shoot locally to hone my panoramic skills. As I put something up on my web site I'll let you know. UF has given me some incentive to start experimenting.

Your image bring this statement that "GOD is the GREATEST". Amazing. If you were not telling us about those towers I couldn't recognise them.

I am really enjoying your large-scale panoramas, Jim, and this is really splendid. I was a bit disappointed not to find a lot more of them on your commercial website... Not that I could afford to buy them, alas, but I was hoping to pick up some tips on display, page layout, menus, etc.

Thanks Roland. This was taken at Sunset. I had raced to this point after shooting Shiprock (the land formation not the town) about 30 minutes earlier. The sunsets in this region seemed to be quite dramatic, but perhaps they seemed that way because of the incredible landscapes found there. It's a bit of a chicken and the egg quandry.

Great job on the stitching for a panoramic result. The angle of the sun either sunrise or sunset provided amazing detail on the geological features you mentioned. Well done Jim, regards.
