This photo really illustrates that saying, and is very well captured. In Portugal, we say: "My neighbour's chiken lays better eggs than my chiken" Regards

Thanks, I am still trying to learn what to do, but sometimes, you just have to shoot and hope it catches the mood, you saw when you decided to go for it.

Whoa! Watch out! hahahaha... this has a great perspective! Looks like the horns are going to reach out and poke you! I agree that it would have been nice to isolate the bull, but I think you've gotten close enough without trying to herd them!!! Nice bright colour and framing!

I always think it's a great thing to capture kids running around...but the one thing that bothers me is where is his other leg? I would have stepped back if possible to get his entire body in the shot..which may or may not have made the adventure of climbing over the gate a bigger task! But great job other than that..

Hi Glenn, I held my breath while taking a series of shots as he finally made it over,. After he made it through the opening, then he closed the gate which was opened all the time. Below is a shot of him on the other side of the gate. Turns out I had to straigten this one out also after I looked at it.

Quite a MESMERIZING shot! If only it hadn't been cropped off the bottom. I hadn't immediately noticed the off-centeredness until I read Jeff's comment. Either way, it's remains a mesmerizing shot that one can't help but stare at, especially with the lighting and architecture involved. Ditto Cheers!

I see it now Sharon... all is revealed. I think if you suffer physical discomfort while taking a picture, it is really difficult to keep your mind on what you are doing. I don't know how the security personnel would have reacted to you lying down or requesting to be allowed to do so just(sistine chapel style)to get the shot you wanted. Here in the UK they would probably point you to the shop that sold postcards of the ceiling! )) As for tripods... very cumbersome if they are any good but they can improve handheld pictures by an order of magnitude.
Cheesr!

Thanks Jeff. I shot this overhead and it was akward, in fact I felt like I was going to fall and it shows in some of the other shots that did not turn out. I did crop some of the dimly lit gallery off, mainly because it was uneven and afraid I did not save the orginal view, That is the only editing I did on this photo.
Thanks for the suggestion
Sharon

Hi Sharon. I was struck by the neon-like quality of the light in this picture. Were you shooting overhead or from a tripod? I liked the idea of this picture too.
I looked for a while at this image and noticed that the light and the pattern caused the image to appear inverted sometimes. I think that I would have included another level of gallery, the one that is dimly lit would have been enough, to keep the mind from plumbing into this optical illusion.
The disc of the dome would have worked on its own if it was not off centre. The image seems to me to be uncomfortable to look at like that. I would love to see this picture re-worked.
Cheers!
Jeff

I concur with both reviewers. However, I would add that the closer bars should be in sharp focus and let the rest fall where they may. I find it distracting when a foreground element is not sharp.

Interesting angle of view... good use of fill-flash Might be better if you used PL filter and throw away the distracting wire in the lower left part of the pic Have you ever tried to take this scene in a more dynamic sense with diagonal composition?
