Hi Carter,
I think the PoV for such a photo is well chosen, and the wide DoF serves you well here.
I not sure about the toning, to me, the sepia (-ish) tone doesn't really add something to the image, and I think the moody atmosphere it tends to create doesn't really fit with the subject.
As to the composition, I think if you had chosen just a slightly lower camera position, you could've created a bit more space around the lamp on the lower edge. Currently, it's a bit tightly composed, especially compared to the top of the image.
Other than that, I think it's a nice photo, well taken and a rather challenging scene to capture well without it becoming a static composition, and that definitely worked out well.
Cheers,
hugo

Hi Carter,
A good photo by all means, and by the looks of it a sturdy fence too... I like the seemingly low Point of view, letting the fence break through the horizon. It adds a very good point of interest. Also, the diagonal line, countered by the appearance of the mountain ridge in the background works very well. Massive sight, very well captured.
Tom has a point, though. The balance in contrast and brightness between the fence and the background / sky could be more subtle. Concerning the composition, I think stepping in a bit closer could've emphasised the perspective, and an ever lower point of view could IMO also increase the impact of this photo. Still, I like it as it is, plain and simple yet effective.
Cheers,
Hugo

Hi there! This is the first critique i've left, lucky you! I really like the composition, but i think your metering could have used a bit of help. i would have gone for the detail on the fence, the wood grain, at the expense of the sky detail. Its what catches my eye when i look at it, yet its dark. I love the shot though.. nice work!
