Yes, a fisheye would be a good choice, Taras. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks Amer. Yes, I certainly made quite a few shots (several hundred over a few sessions...), but the success rate was actually quite high and resulted in many "usable" images.

Thanks Ania. I'm not sure where the title came from, but it does seem to have some alien "qualities"...

Thank you so much, Srna. Yes, I do insist, but for a good reason. Every so often someone points out something I have missed, and I am always grateful!

Thanks Ray. It is quite intriguing the different shapes and patterns that emerge.

Hi Stan! This is an instrument that inspires all sorts of contradictory emotions. Some say it's not a "proper" instrument. Others use it as their livelihood as musicians. You never see it in orchestras. You never see it in rock bands. And yet it may be one of the most commonly played instruments. Whatever, that's all irrelevant - this is a great shot! Perfect compo and exposure, great expression on your friend's face.

Brilliant! I love the elements of life in this Moroccan city image, but also how the cyclist stands out against them.

I've got plenty of time...

Well, I guess I'm not going to hear it for a while, so in the meantime allow me to compliment you on the image. Apart from the unusual subject matter, it's the tones that caught my eye.

Oh, now look at that! I must admit, the thumbnail did not catch my eye at first, but when I came to look I was amazed! This is superb - the abstract patterns in the water, the colours in the gondola and the gondola itself and gondolier almost in silhouette.

An excellent post-work of this image of the Intercon. I would agree with Nick and prefer to see the top of the building, or alternatively crop it just a little lower.

Three things strike me here:

- the careful placement of the geometric shapes in the image
- the wonderful poses of the workers, which contrast vividly with the geometric shapes
- and the flag in the corner!

This is excellent!

There is something about denim and the way the dye wears / washes out, and you've captured that "something" brilliantly here.

Fabulous. For me, it's the colours in the washing and clothing against the neutrality of the street and buildings that make this - it has echoes of an IR image.

I really like the B&W conversion here. The shirts and chairs in white. The trousers and hair in black. The faces and instruments in tones of grey. And it works very well against the dark background. If I could have one niggle, it would be to wish for the feet of the guy on the right to be in the shot...

A great find, this door - somewhat surreal.

(Did you sharpen this? The grass and some of the stones suggest so...)
