Oh Janet you are too funny. I saw on the news last night that someone is auctioning off a Super Bowl Hot Dog and the price was up to $7,100 at that time. I wish I'd thought of it but my little penguin has melted now. Thanks for the smiles.
Cheers - Ann

AWESOME, Ann! I skimmed past this image before and never read the 'about' just going after the more powerful posts you have with all the color & water.... so I just now read this......and WOW!!! You know what people pay for stuff like this on ebay??!!! Well, neither do I, but I bet it is a LOT!!! So...I hope you have cut off the whole fence part, put this in your freezer and have listed it on ebay....you could make a fortune!
What?? The Virgin Mary or Jesus ~ not a penguin???....oh, nevermind !! Better luck next time

This is a beautiful scene. You would not expect to see that in death valley. Thank you for sharing the story that goes with the photo. If you look at my photos you will see I try to film things which are not just pretty but interesting subjects. You found both beauty and intersting facts in this photo. I wonder if the water is really that blue or if you increased the saturation a bit to add to the natural beauty. Either way it is very pretty and an excellent photo. Del.

Like Ina, I must have been kissing QWERTY when you posted this! )
I love the varying brown/coffee/cream tones here. Spectacular blues too. I can only imagine how utterly wonderful it would have been to walk along the path there... the strange collision between the vast, rugged, natural terrain and the neat, orderly, man-made boardwalk. Both of which sustain this fragile eco-system.
Even more strange to find any kind of 'sanctuary' in a place called Death Valley!
Fantastic post Ann Cheers Rina
