Pat,
This is a masterpiece! I just love the richness of the colors, and emphasis on the rocks in front. The different shades of green on the river banks and up the mountainside add dimension and interest. I'm in awe.

Hi Linn,
Thanks for the feedback on the colors here--I'm starting to second-guess myself now, but, darn it . . . I just plain like them with the richness that a little underexposure gives! lol I'm still working toward the "perfect" fuschia portrait.

Teunis,
I have to confess that I was inspired by your "rain is coming" and "rain is go away" images. I thought of them when I saw the lines on this bridge. Thanks for your comment!

Mark,
Thanks for your kind comments. Have you been down this road? It's quite a ride from north to south! This bridge completely captivated me, and the area surrounding it was so lush and green, it was so beautiful.

Mark,
Thanks for your comment. This bush is right under my stairs, so I'm becoming very well acquainted with the difficulties of photographing these flowers. Ever since I saw my first one, I have been captivated. I just have to remember to stop breathing when I press the button! lol

What a great image! There's a similar place near where I live in California, an old town that's at the bottom of a reservoir now.
Your image of the road leading into the lake, along with the story, does lead me to wonder as well what is left under the water. I love the greens here, and the reflection is marvelous. Congratulations!

Linn --
I didn't really notice the "bowtie" effect, and the red flower is actually a yummy blackberry growing on the vine! This was also taken on a windy afternoon, although it wasn't quite as bad as the fuschia! I can see I need to pick what I think is the best light and then go lighter than that!
I'm going to see if I can do this one from the side. I like that idea.
Thanks again!
