Phil,
Brilliant capture! It's humorous with the title, and I like the blur of movement. I also like your composition with the biker riding out of the image. The only thing I might change is to crop out a bit of the sky, but that really is minor.

Thanks for your comment/question--I'm fine, just have had lots of issues come up with finishing the book and my computer is so full of pictures I can't download anymore without taking some off the hard drive. I haven't had time to transfer everything to my new computer, so the few photo excursions I've been able to squeeze in haven't made it off the Smartmedia yet! I've been thinking about you as well--hope all is well. I can see that you are scaling new heights in PS at least! :-)

Hello gregory --
The sky on this is just beautiful, and I like the way the tree is sihouetted against it. The cloud formations add a bit of drama to the sky as well. If you don't mind a suggestion, I think if you were closer to the ground so the tree could be completely sihouetted, and possible moved a bit to the left so the tree is a bit less centered it would improve the composition.
I find it so difficult to strike the right balance between a light sky such as this and the darkness of the ground--something seems always to be over or under exposed. With a shot like this, I usually try to reduce the amount of ground so I can preserve the richness of the colors in the sky.

The caption on this is perfect. The angle, softness and shadows truly do evoke a melancholy mood. I like the way the darkness envelopes the stem on one end and the next blossoms on the other. I'm finding glads to be so difficult to capture because of the way the blossoms are arranged. Once again you've done a superb job on this.

This is a beautiful image. The DOF is excellent, the colors are wonderful and I love the "star" effect on the dew drop. Was that something you added in Photo Brush? or one of those star filters? or naturally occurring. Regardless, it's a nice element in the photo. Well done!

Your patience really paid off here. This is beautiful! What an incredible flower. The texture on the lower black petal is spectacular, as are the deep reds. The highlights on the innermost petals are perfect. This really is a "wow".
