Hahaha excellent! And YES, so true! ;-)
Makes me think of my photo "Look at the monkey", here: http://www.usefilm.com/image/195890.html
(Also on that there is a pointing arrow saying "way out"... haha)

Lovely and also so funny capture, the way the mother's body is kind of watching over him! I think I prefer it b&w, and for me it's not to light... I would rather say a little bit dark. But no, it's really great! Funny both for the private photo album and for showing to "strangers".
So I bet it's just a question of very short time till we see newborn baby photos in your portfolio? :-))

Pat, I tried B/W and couldn't get it exactly right. His face seems light to me. What do you think it needs?

This is great! I love that you can see she's expecting by her shadow. I think this might look really neat in b/w.

Great action shot. Of course I am drawn to the person running the ball, but I really like the young fella on the ground as he has fallen and still trying to take the runner down. Nice capture here.

Nice job. I too like it in B&W. What I really like is that the two bridges enter the picture the same way but have very different lines. This looks like the Mississippi crossing. Nice job and glad you found the site. Looking forward to seeing more work.

Very good B&W - I love the tonalities you've captured. Great composition and contrast, both in the styles of the bridges and their trusses and in the contrasting textures of the materials used in each bridge.
I like the way you included just a little background - the houses near lower left - to lend scale to the image.
I'm a bridge love - please shoot more like this! :-)
Best regards, SteveR

Great, great idea, Duane! I really like the way your son is wearing bold blue and bright red, while the majority of the rest of the image is neutral - makes for a cool composition.
May I make a suggestion? Try reshooting this (same or similar pose and clothes, they're great!) but take along a stepladder and shoot from above - use a wide angle setting on your zoom and compose so as to include your son, the arrow, and not much else. This way, you'll have an even stronger composition without the background of houses to compete for attention with your son :-) If you get a chance to try it out, please email me (my email is in my "bio" on Usefilm.) I think you're only one step(ladder) away from greatness!
Best regards, SteveR

Duane, nice action baseball shot. It's a good shot with good interest and altough there are some distractions (background people), after looking at their facial expressions - I think it adds further interest to the photo. The focus seems a little soft, but I understand this situation where multiple things are going on - all at slightly different distances from the camera and sometimes this can make things hard on the photographer! None-the-less, its a very nice shot! Best Regards, Dan
