This is my son. He plays football, basketball and baseball, and I take the pictures (except when I have to coach). The title says it all. When you\'re 11 years old, It\'s all about you. I was thinking of this title when clicked the shutter.
DB...the attitude, the angle, the off kilter horizon...all work. I am passing this along to others. And it made me faves...I only have 3 in there and this is one of them.
Great, great idea, Duane! I really like the way your son is wearing bold blue and bright red, while the majority of the rest of the image is neutral - makes for a cool composition.
May I make a suggestion? Try reshooting this (same or similar pose and clothes, they're great!) but take along a stepladder and shoot from above - use a wide angle setting on your zoom and compose so as to include your son, the arrow, and not much else. This way, you'll have an even stronger composition without the background of houses to compete for attention with your son :-) If you get a chance to try it out, please email me (my email is in my "bio" on Usefilm.)
