The cars and the home where fine, from what I saw. I looks possible for that Corvette to have some burn marks or melted plastic parts.

I was driving down the street, and I say it happening. The homeowner was using his garden hose but he was almost overwhelmed. I pull onto another street to get out of the way of the fire trucks and got out. I was right across the street speaking with the homeowners, who were of course visibly shaken.

Great shot. If this was 2006 I was there too. To bad there is not Air Show at Edwards this year. But Miramar is coming up soon, so I can get my fix.
Check out my Aircraft portfolio http://www.usefilm.com/MyPortfolio.asp?ID=22481&PF=27182 I've got one of these guys that one BIP.

That looks like the Carnival Pride to me.
Great shot, congrats on your award.
By the way, I know it's the Pride because the only other cruise ship that uses the Port of Long Beach is the Paradise, and there isn't than many rooms with balconies.

I'm not sure what it is, I can't remember what it said on the sign outside his cage. I think it's a monkey of sorts.

Mostly a matter of waiting for the surfers to get pretty close to the pier. This isn't the closeset shot I have with this lens. And there was a little cropping involved.

This really is a beautiful aircraft, this was a low altitude pass during the 2006 Edwards Air Force Base Open House October 28.
Focal length is 360mm, so it took a big lens.

THAT IS AWESOME! I've been tring to get a shot like that for years now with my mom's dog!
I love the blurry background that shows how fast she is moving. I did she hit you? With 8mm it seems like you got slammed!

I actually found the lens very fast, but everything I shoot is pretty far away, so I it doesn't have to focus too much.
I have a bunch of Angels, air show, & surfing shots with this lens.

The are flying side by side 5 feet away! and over 400knots!
I don't have any of the shots leading up to this one with me right now, but in them you can see one catching up to the other.

Thats great! The fisheye gives a great perspective, it looks like your on top of the world.
I like the B&W, butI would love to see it in color too.
This is taken from a plane right? My father-in-law is getting is pilot's license, I'll have to get a fisheye before we go up.
