There doesn't seem to be a point of focus. There is no one element of the composition that is dominant so the eye kind of floats around the image looking for something to land on. You could have choosen to make the snow covered red berries the center of focus by moving closer and isolating them. You could also make the background less distracting by using a larger aperture (eg 2.8) to through the background out of focus. Alternatively you could move back and provide the viewer with more of the scene which I presume is a new cover of snow.

This is a wonderful portrait. I like the use of negative space, the positioning of the arm (although the fingers are ever so slightly distracting - perhaps better if they pointed down or towards the neck?). Is your friend's skin really that smooth? The stray lock of hair also adds some more interest to an immaculate face.
Very well done.

This is a nice image. A couple of things you mary want to consider: (1) I think the faux polaroid border detracts from the photo - there is no way this photo was taken of that subject with a 4x5 camera; (2) the absence of a neck leaves the head disconnected - just floating; (3) you could change the shape of the highlights and make their positions more symetrical.
Great personality shows through and you have good personal connection with the eyes.
