Kevin, refreshing to find constructive critisism on Usefilm - would you please explain (1) what you mean by "4x5" camera, and how you can be so sure the image was not taken with such a camera, and (2) what you mean by your third comment regarding the highlights. Many thanks

Lovely personality coming through in this image - I agree with Kevin Gulstene about the absense of the neck, a pity, because the image is lovely otherwise - Regards

Hi Megan, thanks for your comment on my black and white portrait series. Your portfolio is very interesting and very divers. You have great view for detail and know to capture it well. Good luck on your photography - I'll keep an eye on your portfolio. Kind regards, Cas

quite lovely portrait megan. P.S. about my tones, or better my image process works like this...original always in colors ...using PSH 7.0 ...image size...sharpness...usually less brightness and more contrast ...colour balance (using yellow and red) ...again brigtness/contrast ...sometimes a bit saturation...until I find the tone that I like to it...very intuitive process...but it is what I use...hope it could help you a bit.... regards!!!

This is a nice image. A couple of things you mary want to consider: (1) I think the faux polaroid border detracts from the photo - there is no way this photo was taken of that subject with a 4x5 camera; (2) the absence of a neck leaves the head disconnected - just floating; (3) you could change the shape of the highlights and make their positions more symetrical.
Great personality shows through and you have good personal connection with the eyes.
