A great abstract view of a common measuring device! .. and thanks for your constructive comment. It touches something that interests me: How the artwork reflects the personality of the artist. I guess that's true for you as well, having such a characteristic style in your artwork. Just like me, you may ask yourself why you tend to photograph things in a certain way. Whoa, I just got sucked into this one, trapped in the machine. My eyes wander all over the place. Convex, concave, symetrical, asymetrical, I can't tell. We are all cogs in the machine, fight the power.

The idea of this is excellent, and most of it very good too. I don't care for the foggy or hazy portions in those rods-- whatever they are. It would make a great abstract w/o the haze, IMO. Still, it's a successful photo as is.
