At the risk of sounding repetitive, I love the tones and the grains here!!! Beautifully balanced photo

Hi Megan,

Thanks again for the comments. I absolutely love digital, used a couple of cameras that I wasn't overly impressed with but the MKII is just fantastic. I will, however, always use slide when I travel I feel.

Very intiguing photo Hugo. It has a great sense of machinery working away, the noise almost jumps from my screen. Beautiful tones

It's kind of ironic that something so bad provides us with beauty. Such a strong photo, aesthetically very pleasing yet somewhat disturbing.

It longs for a touch more sharpness but the colours and shapes work well here

A beautiful memory for me of this amazing place. Great shapes, shadows and colours while maintaining the mystery that is Angkor

Very cool shot Hugo. There is a tension portrayed in the photo that one could really imagine in a game of poker. The slightly out of focus hands adds to the mysterious nature of the player. Superb

Great documentary shot. There is so much interesting going on and it's not overdone. A nice balance of interesting subject and colour to keep one viewing for a while. Oh, and thank you for one of the best and most in-depth critiques on my shot.

I think it is a religious symbol, like a confirmation or baptism symbol used in such functions as weddings etc.

Harry, you have some great shots here! I chose to comment on this as it has been neglected (unjustified). It's the ability to capture simple views and make them interesting that really is creativity with photos. Add light n the right way and you have a winner. This is really a great shot. The background is perfect and the non parralel lines give it a noisy big band feel in reference to the music.

Great to see some of your work Harry! The contrasts from sun to water to beach are great, very much Bali. By that, you have really mixed the photo up in a nicely balanced way to give the viewer a feast from top to bottom.

Being old school (you know, the film type!) I can only think that Fuji Velvia would have just brought this to life a bit more. Another 10% more of the photo on the bottom would have topped this great shot, showing a bit more beach and putting the fisherman in a more balanced position.
