Thanks for the comment -- the lizards snout is just a touch
soft...
using a polariser here -- if the sun was shining right at
you then no it wouldn't have had much affect -- but
maybe an ND grad ( 0.6 ? ) would have helped -- although
what line I would have chosen I am not sure..... I might
have just waited until conditions where a bit better -- shrug :-)...

the sky is a bit flat as has been said already --
suppose it would be a problem in wales..

Like this shot - nice choice with b&w and lovely lighting --
why the crop however -- why not the whole board? you could
have still had it at an angle?

like this shot - nice colors and imagery.. was there a reason
to cut of at the knees? was something in the way?

hi Chris,
Thanks for the welcome to usefilm - saw this shot on the Photo
monthly day and still really like it. very striking - your
right about the shadow band - a bit of reduction would be nice.
but since the cause of the shadow is in shot - its not so
distrubing -- like the arrowtip in focus idea as well...
look forward to some more.

Sarah , thanks for the speedy comment... I think you
are gently commenting on the softer focus? it was a hand
held shot - but in good light I reckon from memory it
was F8 or so -- the scan looks softer then the print..
but could probably do with a wider F for that infinitive
focus look.
