Truly a nice photograph, a beautiful Macro & love the texture -- feathering into the soft focus (depth of field) of the background.

Noting the verticle straitications remind me of film being improperly processed or fogged? So I seeing an uncharacteristic change in tone of the trees in the background I would think you are tinkering with the facory setting?

Perhaps it is my mood but I stared at the photo for a long while without prejudice of the title or statements of others to bias my preception. the low light => dark shades give a restful, sombre aspect to the scene while the eyes closed but not clinched shut adds a feeling of peace or at rest to the emotions. the pursing of the lips give an aspect of pouting or discomfort in the atmosphere. Yes, I can sense a sadness. The calm acceptance of the situation which is not a favorable resolution.

Nice image, the signiture seems to indicate that it is a painting but the play of shadows is characteristic of sculpture? The history lesson is characterized of depth of thinking & feelings beyond the mediocre.

Wow, one really needs to get down & study this work to really appreciate (evaluate) your work! I am not familiar with the camera (medium format) which would make the 43mm len, a wide angle? The exposure of 30" or 1/30 gives accent to the form to clouds yet give the blurred aspect of motion. The dark foregound not only gives contrast to the flowers (foreground) but gives rise to the feeling that the middle ground (light area beyond tree) of flowing water of a seashore while the perspective horizon appeals to the sense of rising out of a sea.

Actually I was not being critical, an open space would have added separation to the tree in the scene. a small distraaction ofr some but an excellent exposure.

Excellant work! Althought the frame may have caused the tree tops to extend beyond the photo? I little more info on the shot would have been nice but doesn't detract from the photo.

Excellent photograph, like the rainforest to give produce green tint to sunlight as it filters through the trees, accented by the bright sunlight (high-white).

I noted you seem to like the macro univese so this would be a rather startling departure & wonderfully done as well. Not sure about the bent wire technique? But it results are good!

I could take credit for the macro but the lens/camera provided most of the main ingredients, as for the rest well 'nature provided'. Thank you for the acknowledgement.

A nicely caught photo, the slight blur of motion giving animation to the scene in contrast to the b&w look of those beyond (out of focus). Good use of the depth of field! Emphasising a close relation of the girl.

I like it but then I enjoy an open panoramic of the south & mid-west. Interesting, most would seek to emphasis the towering stone but instead the immensity of stratified layers of clouds dominates the scene.

Hmm . . . sharpness? I like that (even at this low dpi) you see the stamen of the central flowers. If you had shot this on chrome or raised the contrast level would have increased the contrast but . . . my feeling is you wanted a more soft continuum like looking into a campfire as you sit reflecting life.

Great shot, but the muted brown tone. Is it color film or toned b&w? I wonder as the vignetting shows that you have put a lot of work into the presentation.
