About: I've been into photography as a hobby since I was 10. Over the years I've owned an assortment of cameras ranging from a Brownie Hawkeye to a 4x5 Crown Graphic Press Camera to a collection of Nikons; somewhere along the way I even had a Mamiya C330 twin lens reflex, several consumer digitals including the Sony 505, and a few video cameras... whew!
Now that digital photography has truly come of age I am concentrating on "marrying" my two main hobbies.. photography and computers. My latest camera is a Nikon D100, about which I cannot say enough good things. Fantastic piece of equipment... just wish I could remember and use all the features and capabilities.
I enjoy participating in UseFilm and appreciate the considerable expertise of the membership and the continuous constructive comments on each other's work. This is a learning opportunity for me. I'm less concerned about "ratings" and much more interested in improving my eye and skills. Thank you for all your encouragement and help.
As a profession, I am a commercial airline Captain and Check Pilot flying international routes on the B-747-400.
