           | Thank you very much for the information, Bryan. You've convinced me :)
At least, I won't mind buying the lens without the hood, but I'll want to get it whenever it'll be available in the future.
 Thanks again.
 Regards.

           | Thanks for the comment, Ned. I haven't bothered about the hood (although I wanted one when I bought the lens but they didn't have stock) - the lens gets so little flare anyway, so it?s not a real problem if the lens is clean (I am now glad I didn't get the hood). With a polarizer it can get a bit of flare. I generally shoot with a tripod, so it is relatively easy to block the sun with my hand if I am getting flare; otherwise in those circumstances one can just remove the polarizer. The hood may give limited protection in certain cases, but I don?t think it will eliminate it - not as effectively as ones hand...

           | Nice wide view with interesting foreground. Thanks for your comment on my "One More Apple Pls".

mmmmm .. how do you like the 10-22mm lens?
I've been thinking of adding it to my gear.
Actually, I've been to the Canon agent, here, but they didn't have the UV and hood for the lens. I don't think it's a good idea to have such a wide lens without a hood to protect the images from flare. What do you think?

 regards,
 ned

           | Looks to be a desolate place.....all the more perfect for landscapephotography. You managed to include water, rocks, beach in the same view. This is a perfect combination .

           | Dramatic sky, solid rock, slimy foreground with the green algae. It's a good picture, but I don't like the algae (my personal problem).
