Eye catching, if you'll pardon the (more or less intentional) pun :-). Very dramatic - even the thumbnail jumped right out at me. Jim's point is well taken but I think it depends upon what you intend to do with the shot. If you expect the viewer to dwell on it a long time then perhaps the iris and pupil need more attention. If the intention of this shot is to draw a viewer in (into an advertisement for example) then I like it as is. Excellent work.

This is really sophisticated stuff--and very impressive. Jim makes a good point about the blending of the iris and pupil, but it's hard to fault something this complicated that comes off so very well. Good job! --George

Fun macro. I don't mind the B&W conversion, but the eye is too black for my taste. The iris and pupil blend into each other and the allure of the eye is lost as a result. Perhaps masking this area and doing a seperate B&W treatment would provide a creative alternative to present this image.
