Thanks Wayne,

I guess photographers will debate about sharpness vs softness/blurry forever... :-) I couldn't get sharpness here so went for blurry and I'm very happy with wbat I captured here. I would like to see one with the drawing sharp to see the change in the feeling... but would need a tripod to do it.

Thanks David,

It was impossible to get sharpness here from a distance without flash due to the low light... but I'm very happy with this and what I was able to do with it and you're right our experience and perception of emotion and memory can be "blurry" or distorted. Hope you have a good New Year and find yourself :-)

ellie... i like this a lot. i love the colors and the composition. i like the fact that it is not sharp. it adds to the mood of the photograph. sorrow is never sharp and well-defined. always a bit out of focus and blurry around the edges. it's a surreal vision. not necessarily exactly what we see, more a matter of what we perceive and our memory of the moment... david
