Taken at the start of the long puck competition in the village of Kill, Co. Waterford. The long puck is competition based upon the ancient gaelic game of hurling where a small leather ball (extremely hard one) is belted around the field by two teams of 15 players each, you can see some fabulous hurling pictures if you go to www.sportsfile.com I'm starting to review photos I took over the year and dig out some I think are worthwhile. I think its the faces in the background which made me decide to pluck this one out, as regards freezing the action - must be a fluke as it was the darkest, wet day I ever had to venture out on, most shots are ISO 800 and above. Hopefully the Long Puck this Christmas will have more inspiring weather.
