I admire when a photographer has the talent to capture "truth" in his subjects. It is even more profound when a photographer turns the camera around and allows a part of his/her self to be captured, and to reveal his/her own "truth". Superb work, Andrew.
The pose is classic, often used in statues of Alexander the Great, for instance, so to an art-minded recluse like myself, the effect is of a statue mourning, i.e., miraculous.
