Hi, Osvaldo,
By ordinary materials I mean commonplace materials that usually you take for granted. In this case I mean roadside plants and shrubby trees. I think these are things that most of us would pass by without ever considering that they might be appropriate subjects for artful photography. We would say that you have 'made a silk purse out of a sow's ear'. Congratulations.
