This is obviously an experienced photographer - it takes amateurs quite a while to figure out the right place to take a reading on these shots. I'd love to be right next to this lake right now, fishing rod in lake, steak on BBQ, beer in hand, cigar poised... pure bliss :)

Andrzej, I took it with some insecurity, therefore I bracketed exposure. Because I had limited depth of field (no tripod), I was careful about my focus. Lastly, I used curves/levels adjustment in Nikon Capture to get the best contrast tone levels. I shoot exclusively in RAW so that I can get as much latitude as possible in post camera processing. PS. I am going to try capturing some local barns but they are not nearly so picturesque as the barns you have in PEC - so you got me there!

Andrezej, the sunset is not to my credit - you can only shoot the one you are presented with. Eb

Eb, I'm trying to be good in shooting sunrises and sundowns but you are almost intimidating me with your great sytle. The wonderful one indeed. n.j
