About I debated whether or not to move the piece of wood that is in the foreground. What would you have done? ISO 200, f22, 4 seconds. Taken on the trail to Cedar Creek Falls, Petit Jean State Park, Arkansas, Fall 2004.

Rodney -- Good capture. I agree with Ferdinand and Debarshi about the log. In this case I think it serves a good purpose. I've encountered plenty of logs in my waterfall travels. Mostly I try to compose an image to exclude them, but sometimes they contribute significantly to the compositions, as in your image.

Excellent! Very beautiful colours and composition. The piece of wood is just very good in the picture: it gives some deepness to it.
Kind regards.
Ferdinand

Beautiful example of a slowspeed shot. I would have taken another frame without the log in place. But I think this frame is zaa good one. The log act as a break in the frame.
