the limit switch on this camera only 'shortens' the range in which auto focus works

I thought that there is a macro mode. Then what is the 'full' and 'limit' switches on the lens ? The sigma 28-135 is a very heavy lens and the fact that Im hearing about the light weight of the 28-200G interests me most. I sometimes have difficulty carrying heavy weights. I have to carry my manfrotto tripod and ball head which is absolutely necessary for shootng landscapes.

don't believe it has a macro-mode.
I am actually on the way out to do some shooting...will send you some shots done with both lens....sometimes I think the 'hype' gets to us all. later...cheers

Thanks, but I also have the 70-300G. What interest me about the 28-200G is 1) its nikon glass and 2) it has a macro mode if im not mistaken.

the lens is excellent for the wide range it gives you....for less money and since your already have the wider end covered with your 28-100...you might want to check out the 70-300mm.
less than 1/2 the price too. cheers

Nice colours. I have a D50 and 28-100G. Thinking about upgrading to the 28-200G. Hows the lens ?

wow- looks real to me! Don't you just love flamingos? I photographed lots of them in Florida too- but haven't posted any yet. This is creative and fun, Joe, I like it a lot! Is this from Greece too?
