Lori, these are dead cypress trees, I think the salt water killed them. They're located in a marshy area near our camp. I'm sure the water was high during the storms but the road through it was closed for a few weeks. Glad you liked it. Thanks for the comments! Darlene

Yes, we do get a few! Are you familiar with the area below Houma? We have a camp about 15 miles south of Houma, Bayou DuLarge and I love going there. Sometimes we fish, sometimes we just relax! Don't get there as much as we'd like to lately, got things going on here. Thanks so much for the comment, I love hearing from you! Darlene
