About This cork wood just 20 mins. outside my hometown of Antequera(prov. of Malaga,S.Spain) looks great in the late evening just after the bark has been stripped off-a process that happens once every 11 years!

I love the bright red. I agree that I would have enjoyed it even more if somehow you could have kept a bit more detail/texture, but nontheless, I enjoyed it.

Velvia tends to really bleed red, so it might not have been the best film choice for such a powerful red in nature, sometimes you might want a film with a lower red response like provia or astia for stuff like this, I know it sounds weird but when you have this much natural color you might want to consider other films.

I like what you tried to do here and like the effect he only thing that bothers me is the red on the trunck is a bit over thetop and it is taking away the texture of the trunk thereby reducing its dimensionality.
