A magnificent masterpiece. I've used that technique before it's very handy at times I've just never done it in RAW. It's times like these I wish this site had a voting button or a selected check box, this is really one for the front page. 10++

see what you mean - may revisit and do a different crop.... though wil ahve to do the whole process again, so may end up with a square image!
those RC's are rare - I had a year gap between my first and second!

Looks good Ade - but I'm not sire about the blue sky in the top of the image - somehow doesn't fit to the tones of the rest...
Love the rest of the image - that is seriously a great shot!
Still not got my RC for the lighthouses :-( stopped at 24/28 respectively.....
Oh well.... try again!
Al.

you'd have to take 2 shots with film, one to expose the sky correctly, one for the land.
then scan the 2 shots into the PC and then blend them in Photoshop as I descrbed above.
though I think you can capture a wider range of light with film than digital, certainly with slide film.
give it a go if you get chance - very rewarding to do

Incredible lighting! Thanks for detailed info about pre and post processing! but... I'm used MF roll film. How do you think. Negative film can property catch this light?
