First: You should use spray to make water drops on the surface, Seconed: you should use closed one to be rich shot, third: more wide angle with dramatical light will make it super shot.

I like your idea, angle and contrast but I did not like the orange frame especially when it touched the bottom of the cane with had made you lose a good corp. I am not sure here if you wanted to build a frame but you could have used an outside fitting to avoid touching your main topic. Cheers Omnia.
