Thanks, Carsten. I can't remember if the sand had a redish cast in reality, but a good observation from you. It's probably part a preconception that sand should look white - often not the case in reality (like a horizon should look flat). Something to think about when processing photos and setting the white balance in the future.

I knew it was a 10-22 from the preview... Awesome FOV, I love this dramatic perspective. What I like the most and what makes this shot stand out of the crowd is the fact that sky and land formations fit together, a rarity. My only concern is the slight red cast of the sand (dont know whether it was there or not, distracts me somehow).

Very eccective use of your super wide angle, Bryan. I'm wondering which filter you use to get such a deep blue on the sky.
