City - The Pipeline State - PANAMA Country - Panama
About
This isn?t a zoo capture, this is an actual wild three-toed sloth doing what they do best( sleeping and digesting food) taken on the pipeline in Panama. I must of taken 8 or 9 shots with different exposure settings to get the one I like. Taking photo?s in the dark atmosphere of the jungle is definitely tricky and if I didn?t have my camera histogram to go by, I probably would not of gotten this capture.
I also did a fair amount of PS work on this pic, which I am pretty proud of. There was cacti?s covering the sloth?s body which I cloned out to the best of my PS ability. I think I did pretty well. Let me know what you think.

PS: My last post got a few comments on my photo being too dark. I apologize; I have been living in hotel rooms for the last 3 weeks and just switched to a new hotel. Every time I do something like that the lighting changes on my NEW LCD monitor and I really didn?t take the time to assure I was correct. If this photo seems too dark, please let me know. I am not in my normal environment.
This is gorgeous James, an amazing capture and excellent PS work. Sorry you are still living in hotel rooms, hope you are getting nearer getting settled. Margaret
Great Job with the PS work James. I Love the details in the sloths coat. I couldn't imagine being able to sleep hanging off a branch like that without falling. Gods Creatures are amazing! Well seen and presented!
Exposure seems right on in this one, James! Good shot of the wild sloth! That seems like an oxymoron, doesn't it? But every shot has it's problems to overcome, and I'm sure the jungle environment is difficult. Good PS work, I would never have known! Dave. PS I noticed the darkness in your last post, but thought it added somewhat to the mood! DS
