I realy like the perspective of this shot. The texture is incredible, too. The way the texture flow from one corner to the other is very appealing. Well done, James.

The beach textures alone are great. But I love the way you have also captured the waves and haze coming off the sea in the background.

Oops, you are right ! Damned downsizing, sometimes it is so hard to do justice to a photo here ;-) Thanks for the magnified view

Thank you very much Ingrid for your comment. I've largely settled down, but still travel as much as I can. I've taken a quick look at your portfolio, and will be back to comment on some of the wonderful images that really grabbed my attention.

Thanks Casrten. I've uploaded a closer view of the horizon with my reply to Lukasz.

Thanks Lukasz. In the small image that I posted, the horizon may look tilted because the waves were approaching the beach at an angle from my position. I've attached a close view of the horizon, and I think you'll see that it's straight.

Wow, this DOF is breathtaking, the shift-lens on fullsize DSLR must be a great combo ! I love wide angle landscapes, and this is an excellent one ! Very artistic how you bring out the wind-blown textures, and create nice leading lines, crossing, very interesting. My only concern is the somewhat tilted looking horizon, sea level must be plane

like the composition and these visible sand texture; what I would suggest is to straight the horizon cause it seems to go right; I would also think about b&w conversion
anyway, like this try

Lukasz

Where to start...This caught my eye right away for its shere symetry, texture and beauty. In turn, this led me to your wonderful portfolio and bio, which are both very compeling and interesting. Are you still roaming the world? Sounds absolutely ideal to me. When I have more time, I will continue to travel through your eyes and enjoy your gorgeous images. Thanks!
