I was aware humans enjoy the longest childhood, but this pink bird seems to challenge that. I notice how excited the bird is as it shows its beautiful pink wing plumage, and having his head framed by the mom's beak is creative .. his way of looking at you tell me "yummy" from him ... Timely capture Darlene ..Gab

I think this is a "teenager," just not real interested in leaving the food too soon! Thanks so much Alison!!

Thanks so much Lee, I may take you up on that! Would love to shoot elk and moose, that would be so much fun, maybe a trip to Denver may have to be looked into! And the same goes for you, Lake Martin is just incredible in the spring and early summer, the birds are nesting and there is always something to shoot, no moose or elk, but alligators and owls! Hi Darlene,

Great shot! I think birds are so comical when they get way too big for this kind of feeding. I have one of a mother loon feeding what appears to be a "teenager". I swear the young one is bigger than the mother. But, they still get pampered.

Andre

A sensational catch. Even with that pesky limb in the way, this is a stunner!

Best of luck,

Another fantastic shot, Darlene; looks like a mother feeding her adolescent. Teens...bottomless pits.

Beautiful pale pink hues on the youngster.

Excellent Darlene........
I would love to be able to shoot over to where you get these killer shots on a daily basis.
I wouldn't get as good shots as you but I still would enjoy it.
As for the title, if your ever in the Denver area give a shout and maybe we can do lunch in a field of elk, moose or maybe even a coyote or two.
Invitation stands for you and your family of course.
