Good comments, Katie. I really appreciate these types of comments. I knew I didn't leave them enough headroom, but I hadn't noticed the need to rotate a touch. You've got a good eye. BTW, nope Ponta doesn't normally have these types of animals. In fact, the only reason to go to Ponta is to visit the drive through animal park and take pictures.

great action shot. the only thing is it's a little bottom heavy, so you might want to try a little less foreground and a little more room on top...also you could rotate it a tad so its more on center.
what kind of animals are these? they dont look like regular deer, but i cant immagine where you'd get a shot of antelope in ponta, texas haha..

....I think you are going pretty well by the look of your images, have a look at Paul Caponigro's 'Running White Deer' http://www.artincontext.org/LISTINGS/IMAGES/FULL/C/AAGYH4EC.htm ....what I noticed about your image is that the composition adds much to the subject.....you are obeying the law of thirds, makes all the difference...keep up the good work. cheers, david.

Nice shot Ray. Good DOF and you've captured a sense of the animals movement which makes the shot much more interesting than had they been stopped. The only thing I would suggest is a crop to get rid of some of the FG, or perhaps giving the subject a little more headroom next time you shoot. Great work.
