Quite a series of seashore-scapes. I think I like this best. Technically it's a bullseye -- the detail and tonality of the PanF lifts it above the slide--> B & W conversions which are nice as well. But gosh, I've seen at least a thousand photographs like this, variations on the same theme over and over again. I puzzle over photographic subject matter all the time, I know it's practically impossible to come up with something original and interesting when one is on location in a place like this. This is the great handicap of photography which takes enormous imagination to overcome. Nice stuff though!

Great composition! Excellent use of symmetry. I love the lines in this image. The horizon lines and the clouds are so close, yet convey great scale. A great image.

Beautifully perceived and realized. The slight assymetry is calmly alive.

It's almost a tutorial on composition, where perspective leaves the eye in the scene, rather than on the edges of the photo, where you break almost to thirds vertically, and certainly horizontally, you have the high contrast that people find pleasing (as with Adams photos, just as example), which also removes what is unnecessary, or deemphasizes it, so that only that which should be in the photo is in the photo. And the angry sky adds a bit of dread, as well, which helps to also focus attention.

A pleasure to view - it's such a pity that film-based medium format is fast disappearing when pictures of this quality are possible.
