About Yesterday I made some time from painting and went exploring up this dirt road leading to Moab Lake. Along the way I was traveling next to this gorgeous river ( Whirlpool River) and had to take a few shots. There were fly fishermen just downstream angling away looking for that great strike, so they could brag away about how big it was over a beer.

P.S. this photo is not leaning it is an illusion due to the composition and leaning trees

Thanks for the support Susie.....it may seem funny from your perspective, but I view what I do as pretty conservative and not very challenging. But within those parameters I am trying to grow by maintaining a focus on what is around me and trying to keep it as simple and dramatic within a basic subject matter. Receiving your compliment is very uplifting and I thank you for taking the time to explore my portfolio.

Tim - thank you so much for commenting on my photo. It brought me to your portfolio. I am blown away! Your landscapes among the very best on this site, and there are some fabulous photographers on here. Your focus is right on. Colors and composition are outstanding. Guess I'll stick to portraits. :) Congrats!

Wonderful sense of the wide-open spaces. You might find scenery like this in Japan's far north (Hokkaido) but we don't see it anywhere near Tokyo. I suppose the trees lean slightly because of prevailing winds? The foreground rocks are a powerful element of this excellent composition.

Such beautiful sceneries. When I'll visit Canada, I should take some names from you where I can take beautiful sceneries like this one.

Does look like a great place to fish? Stream fishing use to be my favorite type of fishing because I was walking around outdoors and trying to figure where the fish would be. Now its with a camera in what my eyes will see. Excellent composition and image. I like it.

Tim, you trained your eye to look for the beauty and the best selective within the scene, am always amazed by the start foreground of your capture really great and easy lead to the surrounding, this capture has the complete elements to have a real feeling of the landscape outdoor atmosphere. Superb. Saeed
