About The flower, that is, not my picture!!!

I 'found' this rose in a park in Belfast that had a large rose garden! What kind of artist formed such a thing of beauty?!

I know what I think?and seeing such a perfect specimen of His handiwork causes me to stand in awe!!

I hope you like the picture, though it's a pretty poor substitute for the real thing! For a start, if you put your nose to the screen and sniff, all you'll get is a hint of your last dose of screen wash!

Best regards to all,

Chris

Thank you for sharing this and your thoughts too. The reds and gold in the rose are spectacular and the petal edges don't look soft on my screen - just nice crisp detail. Jan

amazing clarity. Creating a black background for it has really heightened the drama and focused the beauty. Super job Chris

Hm..it depends on what's good..cause one animal had to eat the other to survive.. and...who should make these animals ugly...cause..so realy are!!!

Ah, but were they always 'ugly and mean', Merete?
Originally, I mean?
It's a tough question you posed!
My own view, (for what it's worth!), is that when it all started it was all "very good". (Genesis 1v31)
Thanks for the kind comment! )
Hugs, Chris

Yes, as someone once said, "Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these." The photo's not so dusty, either. A pretty good substitute for the real thing for those of us who have no chance of seeing the flower itself.

This is indeed gorgeous Chris. Now I'm not a great gardner of any repute (I can sometimes tell a weed from a flower but not often) but this flower is stunning. The unner petals purse together almost like lips. The colours are rich and vibrant and almost glow on the edges. What a wonderful find and an equally wonderful image you've created.

It is a work of art! And a thing of awsome beauty. But the ability to transfer that thing of beauty to a media where others can enjoy it is no small accomplishment. AND your presentation of the rose makes it a work of art. In other words....I like it :-) Best wishes, Larry.
